This is a rant. It is not intended to profoundly change your mind. If you think AI is great, great: go and play with your thing. Yes, I know it is surprisingly good and quite cool and impressive, and you can now do things you couldn’t do before (although you’re not actually doing anything). I don’t care. I’m not going to justify my opinions or back up my claims. I’m writing this for two audiences - the doubtors and the sceptics. I don’t want to initiate a debate. If you disagree with anything, please don’t tell me. I’m happy to provide more detail on my thoughts if you ask - but don’t use that to disguise a disagreement or the start of a discussion.
